My new hp x360 spectre can see my epson workforce 630 in the devices and printers and then print to it. But when I try to install the epson scanner app or combined drivers and utilities it does not find the printer.

 

The wf630 is on hardwired ethernet, the hp laptop is on wifi. I have tried disabling the firewall, but it still did not find the printer. On my desktop that is wired ethernet, it works correctly and I can use the scanner.

Just to let you know this is the HP Printer forum, not Epson.  Please contact the good folks at Epson for your issues.

Found the issue on my HP laptop with Win10. Win 10 finds the printer on the network and installs a standard driver which conflicts with the one that ships with the printer. By doing settings->devices->printers and removing the one installed by win10, the printer driver that comes with the printer can be installed and so the scanner software works.
