Echo the above comment. Same problem and the link to the solution is no good.  I would be embarrased and worry about my long term business if I were HP.  I've quite buying HP printers because of their short life and terrible support.  I should take inventory of my dead HP printers and then E-waste them so they quit tormenting me reminding me of how soon they quit working.

I do not think hp has to worry. You are using a 12 year old printer that was bottom on the line when it was purchased. I assume you also use remanufactured toners. As to your issue this printer is a host based printer and if using 32 bit you can try the driver for the hp clj3500 which was also host based. This driver works best when using network connection. If you need the 64 bit driver go to hp and search for the clj3500.
