Product: LaserJet M1217nfw
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra

Hi,

 

My printer dialogue box no longer recognizes the scanning function on my M1217nfw printer. I used to be able to scan wirelessly but think that since a recent Mac OS update, the scan function disappeared. Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

Hi,

Download and install the latest firmware for your printer below:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL32626/bi-95171-11/LJM1130_M1210_FW_Upgrade-20150405.dmg

 

Once you are done reboot your Mac and try scanning.

 

If you still cannot scan try scanning with HP Easy Scan below:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-easy-scan-1_...
