Hello @MsSoozieq, Greetings!
Thank you for joining HP support forums, I would like to help 🙂
I understand you are having an issue where the carriage/cartridge is stuck on the right-hand side of the printer. You have not mentioned the actual model number of the printer (e.g. Photosmart 5520) hence I would suggest some general troubleshooting steps which could help.
- Check for any jammed paper parts using a flashlight.
- Unplug the power cable and use some force to manually move the carriage towards the middle.
- Clean the carriage path using some wet lint free cloth.
Also please check http://hp.care/2bZckMX to get some general troubleshooting steps for carriage jam. The document is specific to Photosmart 5520, but the general idea is the same.
Let me know if it helps!
Cheers 🙂
