HP DESKJET 460
macOS 10.12 Sierra

I have not used this printer for a long time. I have set it up today to use with mac sierra. However the cartridges need changed and they will not move to the correct position to allow me to do this. They are remaining at the left hand side of the printer.

When i initially put the printer on I unwittingly did not allow the complete initialisation to take place as I hadn't rrealised you have.

The printer seems to be working properly performing print head clean, align, printing except only blank pages are being printed as ther cartridges need changed.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GRATEFULY RECEIVED.

THANK YOU!

  • Turn the unit off and remove the battery and/or power cord from the unit.
  • Open the lids on the printer.
  • Using your finger move the wiper assembly to the forward portion of the printer.
  • The carriage should now be unlocked and able to move freely.
