Use the printers EWS by typing in the IP address of the printer into your web browser address bar.
Or if not available...
Automatically clean print cartridges
If the printed pages are missing lines or dots, or if they contain ink streaks, the print
cartridges might be low on ink or might need to be cleaned.
If the print cartridges are not low on ink, follow these steps to clean the print cartridges
automatically:
1. Open the printer Toolbox.
2. Click Clean the Print Cartridges.
3. Click Clean, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
Download and read your User Guide here for all info.

Hi,
when I enter the printers IP in the browser, I can see how much ink is left in the cartridges and some other stuff, but no option to clean/align cartridges.
Printer toolbox:
I don't know exactely what you mean with this, but when I open the printers properties in control panel, there isn't a tab with clean/align options...

The Printer Toolbox is under the HP folder. If it is not there, you may have to fully reinstall the printers software to get it back.
Please use the above link to search for your information since the printer is so old.
