My computer is not in the same room as my printer.

I want to be able to put items in the document feeder and select scan on the printer itself and for the printer to grab the documents from the feeder and scan them, (single or duplex, it is capable of both).  I was able to do this with a my Inkjet 8600 series, just not scan in duplex.

There is only one option on the printer and it scans from the glass only.  I really don't want to put something in the feeder, run into the other room, hit the scan on the computer, then run back to the printer, load a new sheet and repeat, repeatedly!  (Unless it's a workout day, lol!)

Thank you for any help your can provide.

Note: This is a brand new printer, there are no error codes, my computer is hardwired and the printer is wireless and all connect to a router.  I can print and scan successfully from the app on the computer. :0)

Hi,

Right click the Strt button and select Control Panel.

Type scanners into the search bar and open View scanners and cameras.

Select the shown M477 and press Scan Profiles.

Edit the different profiles to set teh Source as Feeder, then try scanning from the front panel again and check for any difference.
