m651
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Bought the M651 used.  Seller didnt remove waste toner cup or cartridges.  While in transit the printer leaked toner everywhere.  I got a full refund.  Was advised by a tech (in lieu of owning a toner vac) to take it outside, take out all the cartridges and blow everything out with an air compressor.  Upon re-assembly the printer made a lot of noise.  Threw some codes.  59.00.00 and 59.08.60.  The yellow was missing from all prints.  And the colors werent stacking right after calibration.  The yellow cartridge had some smearing on the drum.  So I ordered a replacement.  All non-oem in case your wondering.  I installed the new yellow.  Reset the memory.  Calibrated a few times.  The printer is no longer making loud noises.  Its also no longer showing codes on the lcd.  But the yellow is still not printing.  I printed an event log and it shows the following

calibration error consecutive DmaxDhalf

calibration error consecutive DmaxDhalf

calibration error consecutive DmaxDhalf

calibration error consecutive DmaxDhalf

calibration Error ColorPlaneRegistration

calibration Error ColorPlaneRegistration

calibration Error ColorPlaneRegistration

calibration Error ColorPlaneRegistration

drum speed adjustmet abnormal warning

The printer has 24,000 pages.  100% CMYK toner.  The printer cost me $0 after refund.  Toner about $160.

Do you think that a FUSER kit would fix the problem???  Need help.  I APPRECIATE yours!!

Whoever gave you the advice to blow it out gave you the wrong advice.  These units have laser/scanner assemblies.  When you blew out the toner, you also coated the laser/scanner lens probably inside and outside with toner.  I suggest you do a google search for the service manual (repair) and then follow the instructions in the manual to remove the yellow/magenta scanner.  A lot will have to come off but you are lucky since there are two laser/scanner assemblies and the yellow/magenta is removed first so at  least you do not have to remove the other one.  Once out of the printer use a q tip to clean the lens and if you see toner on the inside of the asssembly you will need to open the unit up to clean the insides.

David is right on the money, I would add that you want to wipe everything with dry swabs and do not touch any Optical Surfaces with your bare fingers.

Also, I found the service manual online.  Im not a printer tech.. but pretty savvy.   Can someone maybe referance a page for me to review?  And what should this service cost if I just pay a local tech to do the work.  In Fort Lauderdale area.
