Hello, @krishna9955 – Greetings!

Thanks for accessing the HP Support Forums for extra support! I see that you are experiencing issues while printing color on your PSC 1410 printer. I will do my best to assist you with this issue 🙂

Let’s first diagnose the issue by printing a self-test page. Here are the steps:

  1. Make sure the printer is loaded with unused white paper.

  2. Press and hold Cancel on the printer control panel.

  3. Press Start Color Copy.

  4. Release both buttons. The self-test page prints.

  5. Let me know if the test page is printed in color or not.

If the test page also comes out in black&white, then the issue could be with the tri-color cartridge. Try using an alternate tri-color cartridge and check for the issue resolution. If the test page is coming out in color, then the printer hardware is fine and the issue could be with the print settings on your PC.

Alternatively, check http://hp.care/2kH10bH for detailed troubleshooting steps.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Good luck 🙂

I am still getting Black and white print. When you say cancel on control panel, does it mean on the printer or in my lzptop control panel. Please explain correct steps as i am not a technical man.

Hello, @krishna9955

Thanks for the reply!

You need to press the cancel & color copy buttons on the printer control panel as suggested in my above post. Please check the below fig for ref.

  1. Cancel

  2. Start Color Copy

Let me know if the test page is printed in color. If the test page itself is printed in black and white, then try changing the tri-color cartridge and check.

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

Cheers 🙂

I tried but color is not printing. As per your advise I will purchase a new color catridge and then see how it prints. Then I will give you feedback.

Secondly Can you just tell me  what is the year of manufacture of HP Desk Jet Ink Advantage 3835  model? Is it a latest model or new model. Roughly how much will it cost?

Thanks for your help.

Hello, @krishna9955

Thanks for the reply!

It certainly looks like an issue with the print cartridge or the printer itself. Check with a spare cartridge if possible and check.

Also, to answer your second question, the Deskjet 3835 is fairly a new model. Released around a year back. I would also suggest you to check the HP shopping page for exciting offers on the printer: http://hp.care/2kI4udQ

Hope that helps!

Good luck 🙂
