I am having a problem with the yellow color in printouts. Yellow bands are incomplete at the bottom of the Diagnostics Report page and the top two bands of the Print Quality Report page are only half correct, with the other half not printing the correct colors. I am using a brand new genuine HP yellow cartridge.

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP printer. I understand that you are getting print quality issues and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

  • Check toner cartridge status.
  • Calibrate the product to align the colors.
  • Print a cleaning page.
  • Perform additional print quality troubleshooting.
  • Inspect the toner cartridge for damage.
  • Check the paper and printing environment.
  • Check print job settings.

Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps mentioned above to fix this issue.

Let me know how it goes.

I hope it helps and if you feel I have answered your question and concerns,

Please mark this post as a solution accepted and Kudos would also be appreciated.

Cheers.

Thanks for your reply.

I have tried all of that. When I print a cleaning page, the first side has a diagonal wide black printing on it, and when I re-insert it, the other side is blank. Is that normal?

Problem is still not solved.

The cartridge is brand new, genuine HP, can it be a defective cartridge? How can I tell?

Thanks.
