Hello,
I have recently gotten a new internet service provider. I have a new router/wireless network. I cannot figure out how to re-connect my printer to the new network. I have updated the drivers, I have tried the HP Print and Scan Doctor, I have tried looking online for help articles, and can't figure out how. I even tried to put the CD in my computer that originally came with the printer with no luck. Anyone know how to connect my printer to a new network?? Thanks!

To configure your wireless settings on a printer that does not feature a Wireless Setup Wizard:
- First, make sure your computer is connected to your network. You will also need a USB cable, which is temporarily used during the configuration. Be sure NOT to connect the USB cable between the computer and printer until instructed to do so by the software.If your HP printer software is already installed on your computer
Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7:
Use Start -> Programs -> HP -> {your printer model> -} Printer Setup & Software.Windows 8:
- Launch the Printer Software from the Start screen (icon for the printer model name) or from the tile named for your printer.
- Select (click or touch) Utilities on the top of the Printer Software screen
- Select Printer Setup & Software
Mac OS X:
Open Finder and go to Applications -> HP -> {your printer mode} -> Printer Setup & Software. - If your HP printer software is not installed on your computer, insert the printer software CD into your computer. If you don’t have the CD, you can download software from HP Consumer Support.
- Select Reconfigure Network Settings from Printer Setup & Software or from the Welcome Back screen from the CD.
- Carefully follow the instructions on the software screens. Do not connect the printer to your computer with your USB cable until prompted by the software. At the end of the process you will be instructed to remove the USB cable.
- Once you have successfully configured the printer with the new wireless settings, restart all computers that will use the printer over the wireless network.
These are the directions I am trying to follow. When trying to do step 1 (I have windows 7), I don't see Printer Setup and Software to click on. I went on to step 2 and inserted the CD. The CD tries to install software, and then gives me an error message that I am using an unsupported operating system so it will not install or open the CD. It says I have to have Windows XP or Vista to insall.
