Product: Deskjet 1510
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP
Using a USB cable I have been unable to connect my Deskjet to a (redundant) Windows XP which I want to use as a printer server. The reports I get are that it is 'not connected' and that it is 'offline'. I have applied all the steps in Help and the HP Printer Doctor, including switching power on / off..... I know the cable is connecting OK, from the USB connection / removal sounds when pulling the cable out. The test page will not print, there is no response from the priner (which has just been used OK with my Windows 10 PC).
Can someone help with this please, so I can give my XP a new lease of life?
