I have this printer and used the Copy function for the first time today and was exteremely disappointed about the very poor auality of the ciopy. i have scanned botj the orignal print form the same machiner and the copy made of it on the machine.
The copy settings are set to the defaults.
This is probably the worst qiuality copy I have seen in all the year that i have used HP printers.
What is goign on here? Do I have a faulty machine?

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you are facing issues with the copy quality from your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw.
This issue could occur if the scanner glass is dirty or the copy settings are not correct.
Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.
And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Resolve copy problems with HP printers
Also, use the control panel to change the contrast setting.
Also, check the page no 90 of the user guide from the link: Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277
Let me know how this works.
You have a good day ahead.

I think i tried to attach 2 scans to my post.
one of the original printed document and one of a copy of that document made on the printer.
This will tell you the glass is not dirty.
I have spoken to customer service since and the machine will be replaced as it is still under warrenty.
thx for your reply, anyway!
regards,
