the HP Deskjet 720C driver NEVER appears. So, then what?

When one tries to follow instructions step by step, it is very frustrating when the steps do not match what is happening in REAL time.

I answered in one of the several other threads you posted in here.

I have downloaded the patch zip; opened the zip files.  How do I move them to the directory?  I'm not computer savvy, so please instruct step-by-step.  thanks!

I downloaded the file from the basket as instructed but when browsing from the "Have Disk" to Add a Printer, it is looking for an "inf" file so "No items match your search" & won't accept the downloaded file.

Did I miss something?

Just got an email asking me to reply to my initial inquiry re Deskjet 722C driver for Windows 7. To be honest, it has been so long, I don't recall how the issue was resolved; I just know that the printer now works with Windows 7, and I just installed a new Windows 8 machine at home and have and identical 722C printer there and they both work fine. Maybe Microsoft updated their driver files, or maybe I went back over the initial reply to my question and finally got it right. All I know is that it works, and I am pleased. I hate having to buy new software and hardware everytiime I upgrade a computer.
