HP support will not provide a driver.

Just use the pcl5 or pcl6 universal driver which should work.

Not a great fix.

Using the Universal printer, features are lost like two sided printing.

Prior driver was fine until a Win 10 update a few weeks ago.

You need to go into the properties of the driver and under I think device settings, there should be a section for installable options.  You need to change duplex from not installed to installed since the default for all hp drivers is not installed. Once you do that and apply the setting duplex will be available.
