How can I decrease the output of the black ink on my cp1525? All other colors are fine. The excessive black ink makes everything look dirty.

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that your HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw printer is printing in dark black color comparing to other colors and you are getting print quality issues. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
Calibrate the printer.
Follow these steps to calibrate the product.
- On the product control panel, press OK.
- Press the Right Arrow button (
) to scroll to and select System Setup, and then press OK.
- Press the Right Arrow button (
) to scroll to and select Print Quality, and then press OK.
- Press OK to select Calibrate Color.
- Press OK again to select Calibrate Now. The calibration process lasts a few minutes.
Click here and follow solution ten to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps mentioned above to fix this issue.
I hope it helps and if you feel I have answered your question and concerns,
Please mark this post as a solution accepted and Kudos would also be appreciated.
Cheers.

Can you post a sample of the defect. If the printed page has like a black sheen on it, you could be having an issue with the toner cartridge being defective. On most hp printers even if the black is very dark the page will still have a clean look so I think the toner may be your issue. Post a picture so we can be sure.
