HP Officejet Pro 8600
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I have heard that printers keep documents that were printed or copies in memory. My HP Officejet Pro 8600 is broken and I wantto know how to delete it's memory prior to rrecycling it.

Thank you.

There are printer models that have a hard drive and can store print jobs, but the Officejet Pro 8600 does not.  Make sure there are no memory cards plugged into the lower left front.

The one thing the printer may store beyond a power cycle would be the wireless settings and the FAX log.  You can clear these from the front panel - go to the wireless setup wizard and the FAX setup wizard and put in dummy data.

What steps can I take to clear the memory of my HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus for recycle or disposal?

The menu screen does not cooperate.
