This error is usually caused by a bad belt or lack on lubrication on the rails. Turn the plotter off, open the cleaner door on the right and pull out the cleaners. Open the top cover and try to move the carriage from right to left and left to right using the belt. You will be able to tell if it needs a new belt or just lubrication.
