This endless trouble maker of Z3100 24" printer giving me prolems, one after another, anothers.

Last trouble I worked on was the carriage box error & could not pass the diagnostic test ,also color calibration, line sensor tests and all failed.

Now I replaced with a whole new carriage box. Spent me most of the saturday afternoon & finally all

finished & was thinking I could relax & it will run fine.

Then it power on & said 03:10. checked the service manual & it was the power supply problem. How power supply could fail & few hours ago it was working perfectly.

I run power supply test & it failed. I skipped the power supply & tested other electonic components, all past,

except failed  carriage box test & seemd no power to the carriage box & I suspect migt be the trailing cables to the

carriage box pca.

But manual keep pointing to power supply & myself don't believe power supply is faulty.

             ( if really & I have one from Z2100 44" & can replace quickly )

What do you think & recommend ?

If you put in the wrong carriage it can cause the 03:10 error.

The system 03:10 is an error code related to the power supply. Check the connections from the trailing cable to the Main PCA, try a different power outlet and try a different power cable. If the problem persists you will have to replace the Power Supply for sure

The first step is to check and make sure the carriage you put in is for a Z3100.

A Z3200 Carriage installed in a Z3100 will cause this error.

Thanks for your kind helps.

I simply removed the new carriage box & put the old one back, but replaced the color sensor.

All booted up fine & no error. Then when I did the esp test on normal esp test & it passed ok.

I did power supply test & all voltages were within limites & past test.

Then when I did the power up diagnostic carriage box, also ESP alone test, both failed and message as follows :

Q5669A

FW v4.080d
Sensor type   GE3

Serial # 973

manufacture date   09/29

Then next screen   error 58:10

Fail  deltae
out of limites

92.000 > 8

This color sensor is the third one I replaced & stll same  58:10  color sensor not working.

The sensor cable was secure & screws well tightened.

Except when color calibration & shutter did not open   (   origin of troulbe , I knew it , but

no where to set option to open it automatically .     might from somewhere by the service station )

Time, money, efforts all wasted.

If you do the color calibration, do you get the error?

03:10 was gone after I put the old carriage box back with new color sensor.

When I did the esp alone calibration, it pass.

Then when I do the line test or carriage box test , whenever it got to esp test & error 58:10. fail. It was the third color

sensor I used.

I suspect the service station did not open the shutter ( as I posted on other post & ask about the

shutter ). I wish there was option to open the shutter somewhere, but none unfortunately.

I bought 2 brand new service stations from China & they are on the way already.

Once they arrived &  I will replace with the new service station & see does it open the shutter.

Will post if I have news.

Thank you very much for your kind helps.

PS : the MK/R printhead was bad & missing red color. see photo attachedundefined

Hi there,

I have the same 58:10 error when I do the SOL diagnostic test.  All my carriage tests are a pass except the ESP.

Did you have any luck resolving the issue?

I see the shutter open when the carriage reads the colour chart and the light is visible but the same delta error, "out of range " comes up when I do the diagnosis.

Any help is appreciated.
