Product: DeskJet 2130
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

Hi there,

 

I need help to install a HP DeskJet 2130 on my MacBook Air, os Yosemite.

 

The Easy Start software keep failing saying to check my internet connection though there is no problem with it. I've tried direct downloads from older posts but wouldnt work anymore. Please help, so disappointed with this, it shouldnt take hours to install a simple printer...

Welcome to HP Forum.

 

I understand that you're having problem installing the SW.

I would like to understand which OS you want to install the SW? 10.6 Snow Leopard or 10.10 Yosemite?

 

If you are using Yosemite, you can download the installer here HP Easy Start maybe http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-deskjet-2130-all-in-one-printer-series/7174550/mo...

 

If you are using 10.6 Snow Leopard, this printer does not support this OS version.

 

This printer Deskjet 2130 support 10.8 --> 10.12 Mac OS versions.

Hi there, thanks for your reply.

 

I was using Yosemite, but now I have upgraded to Sierra and the problem continue.

 

I've tried restting the printer system and this didn't help either.

 

I have been able to download, through a direct link found on this forum, "HP Printer Essentials D 5.4.0", I was able to install it but then the driver still doesn't show up when trying to add the printer manually.

 

"HP Easy Start" tries to download HP Essentials 5.3.2.11 but keep failing to download it, I couldn't find a direct link for this version.

 

Could you provide me a direct link for it or please tell me what else I can do?
