Hi
Just purchsed a new 3070a deskjet. It prints via the usb cable but because I am using osx 10.7 the disk with the printer is not usable for addional functionality.
Having spent over a hour on the phone with UK tec support they say that a new app package is needed that will include the ability to set up the wireless and eprint.
Anyone know of this? or when it may be available.

Hi Andrew,
In order to configure a wireless connection, indeed you have to use the Full Feature Software, which does not available currently.
You may use the WPS feature to connect to your network, however it require your router to support WPS and have a dedicated button named as WPS.
If your router do have a WPS button:
1. Press the WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) button on your router.
2. Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until the wireless light starts blinking. Press and hold for 3
seconds to start WPS push button mode .
If your router does not support the WPS feature, you may perform the following workaround by temporary connecting your Mac to your printer, then connect the printer to your network through the printer Embedded Web Server:
Step One: restore the printer network defaults:
1. Press the Wireless button to display the Wireless Menu.
2. From the Wireless Menu, select Settings.
3. From the Settings menu, select Restore Defaults.
4. Confirm selection to restore defaults.
Step Two: Turn the Wireless Radio On
1. Press the Wireless button to display the Wireless Menu.
2. From the Wireless Menu, select Wireless Settings.
3. From the Settings menu, select Wireless On/Off.
4. From the Wireless On/Off menu select On and confirm.
Step Three: connect your Mac directly to your printer
1. Click the Wifi Icon at the top.
2. Click Join Other Network
3. Click Show Networks
4. Select the printer SSID to connect, it should include either HP, 3070 or B611.
Allow three minutes to establish the connection.
Step Four: connect the printer to your router through the printer home page:
1. Launch Safari and click the Bookmarks icon (the open book icon located at the top menu of Safari)
2. Click Bonjour.
3. Double click your printer name to enter the Embedded Web Server.
4. Click the Network tab.
5. Under Wireless, click Wireless Setup Wizard.
6. Click Start Wizard and Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your network.
Once completing the Wireless Setup Wizard make sure your Mac is connected to your router and allow three minutes till the printer is connected to your router.
Enter System Preferences > Print & Scan.
Click the Plus sign select your printer listed as Bonjour type to add the networked printer.
Follow the document below to set up ePrint:

Dear Shlomi
Thank you for your kind support.
Your solution was tried by the uk tech support with me on the telephone, unfortunately the mac did not connect with the printer and after another waiting from the tech guy speaking to 2nd line support the conclusion was that the only solution seemed to be the updates Mac / HP app that is allegedly being blocked / stopped by apple or they wont give it authorisation.
Thank you again for the work around.
Kind regards
Andrew
