Deskjet 2050 j510 Series
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My Deskjet 2050 j510 Series is not priting anything at all, it didnt print the align page, the diagnostic page, it doesnt print by pressing the copy buttons and it doesnt print any files.

It seens that both cartridges have ink to print and I tried to use the clean cartridge and printer functions and still.

I used the scan app that comes on the driver and it worked fine, so the printer its just not priting.

Since its not priting by the default functions it seens that it is not a driver issue, even though I tried to change usb ports, restarting the computer and such.

I also tried to take off the color ink cartridge and tried to print a black and white page, it said on the screen that the printer was missing a cartridge but it could still print in the single cartridge mode, but the printer head got jammed everytime I tried.

Is there something I can do?

Hi there @Shake31,

Welcome to the HP Community

I read through your post about the printing issues you're having with your Deskjet 2050. I understand the self prints, copies, as well as prints from the computer will not work at all. It seems as though you have covered the majority of troubleshooting that I would have to suggest to you. A hardware malfunction internally is what I would personally think is the cause to this concern, unfortunately.

The suggestions I can add would be to try a power reset, make sure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors, and even try another wall outlet to plug the printer in.

Turn the printer on.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the unit.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the unit.
If the printer does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

If the prints and copies still fail, contact HP directly to see about your next printer options, such as a replacement or trade in.
