WIndows 7 64bit
Verizon Fios router
Recently installed DeskJet 3637 on my network as a wireless printer.
It has no errors but I couldn't print anything,
I ran HP "Print & Scan Doctor" and printed test page successfully.
I also can go to printer's web page using it's IP address from my computer and everything looks fine and I can change some option too.
But I couldn't print anything from any application (notepad, MS Word, MS Powerpoint and PDF file).
So, I disconnect wireless connection and directly connect printer to PC through USB and reinstall driver but same thing.
I got "Parameter is incorrect" error message when I print from Notepad and no error with no print on Word & Powerpoint.
I' also delete all cache, reboot computer, registery clean, antivirus check but no help.
I'm a computer tech for 25 years since MS DOS 4.2 and now I'm a network design engineer.
I did everything I can do but it seems like a bug on driver or something it does not math with OS.
I have never seen this kind of issue before.
I also delete all HP program and reinstalled it 5 times but no help either.
Also I can't print from any other computers on my home network (they can see printer on the network and installed driver correctly but no print)
Please help.

Hi @UncleJJ,
Allow me to welcome you to the HP community. A very good day to you. I understand that you require assistance regarding the printer not printing from any application. It will be a delight to assist you here.
Fabulous description, stupendous troubleshooting and very smart analysis of the issue were done before posting. Kudos to you for that. You are a valued HP customer and I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you.
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:
- Did you try to make copies directly from the printer to isolate the issue further?
- Did you try built in drivers for the printer?
For a start please make a few copies directly from the printer without any communication from the computer to check if the printer has no hardware issues or cartridge issues.
If it copies fine, then the issue could be software related. Please perform these steps:
- Click the Start menu of the PC
- Click on All Programs
- Open the HP folder
- Open the folder for the Deskjet 3637 or 3630
- Click on Uninstall option
- Once the uninstall is complete the program will disappear
- Click on the Start menu of the PC again
- Click on Devices and Printers
- Delete the 3630 or 3637 if it is still present
- Select any remaining printer by left clicking once
- At the top of the window click on Print Server Properties
- Click on the Drivers tab
- Remove any listings of the printer.
Then please visit this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-deskjet-3630-all-in-one-printer-series/7172306/m... and reinstall the full feature software from there. Make sure to select the correct operating system. This should do the trick for you.
If it does not please use the windows built in drivers from this link: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01796879
Please keep me posted. I will keep a watch for your reply.
Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you.
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.
If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.
Take care now and have a splendid week ahead.
