Hi 2nana,
The printer may indicate that the color cartridge is missing, but you should still be able to print.
What happens when you try to print? What is the exact error message?

Thanks, that fixed it, I guess. It prints now, anyway. We'll see what happens when I eventually install a new colour cartridge. Would it be so difficult to pop up an error message or something to let me know I'mout of ink? Seems kinda intuitive to me....

We were away for about a month. When we came back the printer did not print and the lights in the front of the printer are flashing.
I have tried everything and to no avail Tried shutting down everything, made sure there was no paper jam, checked the cartridges, etc.
Please tell me what to do?

Thank you so much for this fix. I have been trying for three days to stop the blinking "Resume" button with no luck. I tried all the fixes from HP but none worked. My old Canon printer would show you on screen when a cartridge needed to be replaced. HP needs to work on doing this. Thanks again.
