My HP Deskjet F2210 All-In-One Printer has suddenly stopped functioning. When plugged in and without touching any buttons, all of the lights turn on and stay on, without blinking- including the power button light, the alert lights for color and black ink, and paper, all 3 sizes of paper settings, and all the sections of LED for the number of copies to be made. No matter which button I press, there is no response. Even when I press or press and hold the power button, nothing happens. When I run the Diagnostic Utility or the Print and Scan Doctor, they do not recognize that the printer is connected to the computer (even though it is), and thus cannot solve any issues. Any help, hints, tips, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I have the same issue on F2210. The document referred to by HP describes when one or more light are blinking ot if all lights are OFF. I have a DIFFERENT problem. ALL LIGHTS COME ON AND STAY ON. And the printer is non responsive. Please help.

Hi sm75606,

Follow the instructions below.

1. Remove all cartridges

2. Unplug the printer and USB cables

3. After about 2 minutes plug the printer back in, and make sure that you plug the power directly to the wall outlet. 4. Do not reinstall the cartridges until the printer asks for them.

Let me know what happens?

Hello,

I tried the solution precisely as you outlined. No luck. Upon plugging in the power, all lights come on and stay on. Let me know the next steps.

Regards,

Hi sm75606,

Remove the cartridges from the printer, and then power cycle the printer. Let me know if you still have all the lights on without the cartridges installed?

Hi sm75606,

Remove the cartridges, and then turn the printer off & on without them being installed. Let me know if you still have the flashing lights?

Hi pcwizard,

Thanks for the information. For me, this unfortunately isn't helpful, though. I cannot remove the cartridges because my printer is completely unresponsive. As soon as it is plugged into a power source, all the lights come on and do not blink, and nothing happens no matter what buttons I push, or whether I plug in the USB or open the compartment to the cartridges. The cartridges just continue to sit comfortably protected off to the side. Any suggestions?

Hi tazpan,

If you unplug the printer can you move the cartridges manually to the center of the printer to be removed?
