Laserjet 4240n
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am looking to determine the page count of my Laserjet 4240n but it is currently not loaded with toner or paper. Is it possible to determine this number without printing a diagnostic/configuration page? Similar to this http://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c00382376

Thank you

I cannot recall if you can get past the "Install Toner" error message as it's been a while since I worked on one of these.  But, if you can get it to cooperate...

Push the Down Arrow to the "Service" option and hit the green check button.  It will ask you for a PIN.  You have to use the up and down arrows, one digit at a time and use the check button as your enter key.  The PIN for an HP 4240 is 04424005.

After you are in the "service screen", you can arrow down to see the page and maintenance counts.

I am able to get past the toner error message and reach the main menu. I will give this a try later today and follow up with the results. Thank you for the quick response.

Since the printer is network, just connect to your network and then type in the ip address into your computer and the web page will appear and then just click on the config page which should appear on the screen.
