Hi,
Firstly they are 2 different numbers: 61 and 62. Secondary they are for different printers.
HP 62 is for 8 different printers

HP 61 is for 16 other different printers:
http://www8.hp.com/us/en/products/oas/product-detail.html?oid=4024142#!tab=compatible_hosts
They can be physically same size, but their chips are not the same.
