HP Envy laptop x360 Convertible 13

I want to somehow either lock or disable (temporarily) the built in keyboard. This is whilst playing a video (whilst mirrored to a smart tv). I'm having to rest my laptop in my lap whilst playing it, and don't want to accidentally bump a key. I'm running  WINDOWS 10

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are looking for information on how to disable the Laptop keyboard.

Please follow the below steps to disable the internal keyboard.

  1. Press the Windows and X buttons at the same time.
  2. Click on Device Manager.
  3. Find Keyboards on the list of devices.
  4. Click on the arrow to expand the tab.
  5. Right-click on your keyboard.
  6. Click Disable Device.
  7. Restart your laptop and the keyboard will be disabled.
