HP Printers 1610, 2140, 4500+

Hello HP Forum:

We're doing some basement/storage cleaning and found that we have a gaggle of old printers we need to dispose of!

All are HP's: 1610, 2140, 3833, 4500, & 4620...

1-We are wondering if any of these old HP mostly, Office Jet Printers, have any Memory or Hard Drives that need to be wiped/removed/destroyed prior to disposal?

2-By the way..are the printers safe to go into the regular trash pick-up or should we be finding an "Electronics" recycler to take them to??

Thank you all so much for helping us and anyone else who reads the forums to help keep the environment safe and clean for the next generations!

Regards,

These printers did not have hard disks so no information is stored in them. As to disposal it depends where you are located. Some towns will take them at recycle places but most do not anymore and the only ways is to put out with the other trash for pickup.
