A tiny 1 inch spring came out of my printer while I was loading paper.  The message read "cardrige jam but it was the spring . Please help..

I understand that a tiny spring of about an inch came out of my printer while it was loading paper and also there was a message carriage jam on your HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer.

 

This could be a hardware issue with the unit.

 

However, you may follow the steps for carriage jam from the link: Carriage Jam
