deskjet 815c
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,
few days ago my printer (HP deskjet 815c) stopped working, I don't know why, but my PC can't recognize it...
I think I should reinstall the drivers, but they are not available on the web (if I understood well, they have been removed). Can you kindly send them to me? I know that it is an old printer, but it still works well and I'm not interested in buying a new one...
Thanks,
Marzia

Hi @Marzia, welcome to the HP Forums 🙂

I saw your post about your Deskjet 815c no longer working on your Windows 7 system, and I wanted to reach out with my personal suggestions. I have checked the drivers for this printer, and found that there are no drivers available for Windows 7. You would need to run a Windows Update to install the printer.

Even thought the options for this older model are limited, I have a couple of ideas for you to try.

1. You can try a power reset, ensure the printer is plugged in directly to a wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the unit.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the unit.
If the printer does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

2. Try running the Print and Scan Doctor here to see if the tool can fix the issue: Using HP Diagnostic Tools for HP Printers in Windows

If all else fails, you will be looking at a new unit. If you wish to speak with HP about your upgrade options, I will include their contact details below.

Click the "Accept as Solution" if the issue has reached a resolution! Hit the thumbs up below to like my post or show thanks to me for lending a hand! 🙂

I hope this information helps you!:)
