I have tried your site regarding remedying this problem.  I do not use AirPrint but have a WIFI router and it does connect to the printer.  Each time I try to print I get the message in the subject of this Post.  I have gone through all the procedures of HP support Agent senan6806 Message 2 of 8.  It seems that one cannot use encryption with this printer unless a new encryption credential is obtained.  I don't want to set my WIFI so there is no encryption.  How can a new credential be obtained that works with this printer.

Thanks, Norito

Hi,

Please go to System Preferences < Printers and Scanners.

Remove the listed 8720 printer from the list.

Now click the plus sign and add your printer again, within the Use drop-down menu be sure to select AirPrint or your HP Printer model, do not select the Secure AirPrint option.

May you see any difference now?

Well I discovered that the HP driver was not installed and my computer was substituting some universal one that had a certification that had expired.  I had tried installing the Easy Start software but put it in my Doc and the app for the driver did not show up.  Unzipped again to the desktop and the East Start driver app showed up and I installed it.  The printer then worked.

Thanks, Norito
