I set up this printer few months ago and now when I print, it cant be found. So I reset network and reconfigured it on the printer. It is still not discoverable by my MAC. I tried to go to 123.hp.com/setup to reset after deleting from my MAC PC.  And after downloading the software, the printer cant be found even though it is on and wirelessly connected. Anyone have any idea what's going on. Thanks in advance.

Hi @AmberStarz,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! 🙂 Good day!  How  are you? 🙂 I see that  the printer is not working and  is not found on the wifi network. I will be delighted to assist t you here. 🙂

Stupendous effort on diagnosing the issue correctly. It is always a privilege to work with customers that have superlative technical skills. 🙂 Kudos to you for that. 🙂 We at HP greatly value your relationship with us and I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂

  • First, restore network defaults from the printer. Please visit this link which is the user guide of the printer: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04778353  Check page 40 for this.
  • Then power down the router, printer and computer.
  • First power on the router and ensure that it is completely lit and ready with the link and data lights flashing.
  • Later power on the printer and ensure that it is completely ready.
  • Finally power on the computer and ensure that it boots completely.
  • Get printer and MAC IP address to check if the IP addresses are the same.
  • Ensure that the printer is connected to 2.4GHz router broadcasting channel.
  • Remove the printer in your MAC computer and add the printer not as an Air printer but as a Regular HP printer.

Then visit this link and perform all the steps in this link if the issue is still not resolved: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-4520-All-in-One-Printer-series/5447920/model/5447921/doc...

If nothing works Please find the steps to perform a semi full reset that will be sent to you as a private message. Please look for private a private message from HP.

After performing the semi full reset, continue setting up the printer from this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-ENVY-4520-All-in-One-Printer-series/5447920/model/5447921/doc...

Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you .:)
