Hi Can anyone help. O have a Envy 5530.Been fine since I had it. It suddenly came up with an error. It blue screens and has a fault number 889e... it flashed up so quick thats all I can get. It then gets a white flashing screentelling me there is n rror and that it needs to be turned off and on again. f you do this the error repeats itself.

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post. 

 

I understand that you are getting an 889e error on the printer. 

Don't worry,  I will be glad to assist you. 

If you press any keys on the printer, does the error go away?

Are you using genuine HP ink?

 

Recommend you to do a hard reset on the printer as suggested in this article

Disconnect the power cord of the printer.

Leave it idle for a minute.

If you are using a surge protector, disconnect it and connect the printer to the wall outlet directly. 

Turn the printer ON and check. 

Remove the cartridges from the printer, restart the printer and check if the error goes away.

Download and install a firmware update on your printer using a USB cable. Firmware update can be downloaded from www.hp.com/drivers

If the issue persists, please contact our phone support for any upgrade or service options available.
