My HP Envy 5530 prints everything just find, but stopped feeding photo paper all of a sudden. It is the same photo paper I have been using. It feeds the paper part way and sounds as though it is printing the photos, but nothing prints. After a while, it ejects the photo paper. I do not get a jam; I do not get error messages. Most frustrating - I do not get a photo. This just started a few weeks ago. I have no other problems with the printer. I have cleaned the printer and the rollers. It does not have a problem printing on heavy stock paper or regular paper, just HP photo paper. Help!

Hello gbvm12,
Welcome back to the HP Support Forums! 🙂 I see you are not able to print on photo paper with your HP Envy 5530, it stopped feeding the paper. You have no problems with any other papers or cardstock it is only the photo paper which you have used successfully in the past.
Let's go ahead and perform a Hard Reset on the printer:
1. Unplug all cables and memory cards from the printer. Unplug the power cord, directly from the back of the printer while the printer is still turned on.
2. Unplug the other end of the cord from the power source.
3. If there is a power module on the power cord, disconnect one end and reconnect it.
4. After 60 seconds, plug the cord directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector or battery backup as they can cause the printer to lose basic functionality over time).
5. Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
6. The printer should automatically power back up. If it doesn't, turn it on with the power button.
7. Try making a photocopy (if your printer is an all-in-on printer) before connecting any other cables to the printer.
8. Connect any other needed cables to the printer.
Now I would like you to run the Print and Scan Doctor > www.hp.com/go/tools- It was designed by HP to provide users with the troubleshooting and problem solving features needed to resolve many common problems experienced with HP print and scan products connected to Windows-based computers.
Let me know what the PSDR finds. If you are still unable to print on the photo paper, leave me with the following information:
1. What program are you using to print the photos?
2. What type of photo paper and weight are you using?
3. Have you recently installed any updates for the computer or printer?
4. Are you wirelessly connected or do you have a USB connection?
I will watch for your reply.
Thanks,
I work on behalf of HP

I am experincing the same problem. The paper I am using is 10 mil premium photo paper - Royal Brites Photo Papers 8.5 X 11 . I printed a number of prints and then the printer had a problem loading the paper. I got partial or no prints at all.
I am hooked up wireless to the printer, and followed your instructions and found no other problems.
Thanks,
Coolcreek

I have an Envy 5530 printer. I am using Picasa software to print the photo. I did run the HP utility for printers. I did have a successfull photocopy. I am using a medium weight glossy photo paper. To my knowledge (meager) all software is up to date. I am still unable to get my printer to load the photo paprer. I have made four attempts- all end with removal of the insert and removal of the paper.. I am at my wits end as I never have never had any like problems with other printers.
