ENVY 7640
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought an ENVY 7640.  I was able to get it set up on a surface pro 3.  On that surface pro came all the drivers to scan etc.  I was able to hook up a second Surface pro and print.  So all the connections work. The issue is the scanning drivers on the second surface pro.  I understand I need to download them. HP wants me to download the entire driver pack as if I was setting the thing up for the first time.  When I download the driver pack and start installing, It always says it can't connect. It sees the device. I can still print on the printer.  Also, the driver pack seems to only allow me to connect wirelessly to it, or UBS cable.  The printer is already connected through my wireless router.  I don't seem to get an option that just hooks into the wireless network.

Any help would be appreciated. All I can do now is scan to the one computer I originally used to set the printer up to the wireless network.

@RodIII

iScan - sounds like an Apple app, not Windows app. You have to install printer software and drivers for all computers using the following package (for Windows computers):

    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/en7640/EN7640__Full_WebPack_1107.exe

The first computer may take a bit longer but should take shorter for all the rest.

Regards.

Hi Dont worry about your problem. Download and reinstall best driver software for your corresponding printer models gives better solutions for you.
