I'm on laptop Windows 7 trying to use a Laserjet 1320 on a network. I can see the printer but the laptop will not recognize the driver. I get the error 0x00004005. If I connect the printer directly to laptop everything works fine. I have tried loading every possible driver.

I am having this exact problem with an officejet v40xi. It is on the network, but my new Windows 7 machine can't install it remotely. When I physically plug the printer into the computer, it works fine. But when attempting to add the printer while it's on the network, the computer says it needs a "*.INF" file. Any suggestions? Thanks, in advance.

I am unable to install the driver for my printer HP Deskjet 1280. When I visit the hp website I am informed that there is a dignostic utility which cannot be used for installation. HP Website mentions that there is no downloadable driver for this and my windows 7 professional version does not detect any drivers for this printer. Can any one help me regarding this? The Cd for the printer is missing and hence I cant locate that one as well.
