HP7500a

Got a paper jam on my HP7500A. Paper cleared from the machine - no pieces were torn off. Looked everywhere to see if there was any paper or anything bent/broken. Everything looks clean. Tried resetting/switching on and off, etc.

The ink carriage moves from side to side easily but when I try to clear the error on the screen on the printer there is a problem. The carriage moves through the usual motions and the rollers spin but when the carriage returns to its position on the left side of printer, it seems to hit something and moves three times back and forth rapidly before the error returns.

Any help?

I've attached a youtube video link here of the problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ga0gXcRmxdY&feature=youtu.be

Hi @nwtz,

First off for better clarity and to assist you better, I would require more information.

  • Did you bypass power strips and connect the printer directly to the wall outlet?
  • Did you perform a hard reset on the printer?

For a start, please perform all the prescribed steps from this link A 'Carriage Jam' or '0X610000F6' Message Displays for HP Officejet 7500A (E910a and E910c) Wide Format e-All-in-One Printers:

https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02282370 to try and correct the issue. If there is no hardware issue with the printer, this should correct the issue.

Please keep me posted. I will keep a watch for your reply.

Hope this helps.  Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Smiley Happy  Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you.  Smiley Happy

Take care now and have a splendid week ahead.
