Product: HP Color Laserjet 2840 printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

 

On my HP Color Leserjat 2840 I am getting an error message " Scenner error 6 Turn off and then On"

I tried turning off several times by pressing the on/off button and also by pulling off/on ,the power cable from the wall.

But still can not get rid of the reeor msg. It does not allow any of the printer operations.

Scanner Error 1 through 11

 

 
The device has experienced an internal error.
Recommended action
  1. Turn off the power by using the power switch, wait at least 30 seconds, and then turn on the power and wait for the device to initialize.
  2. If the error continues to persist, contact Hewlett-Packard for technical support to troubleshoot the problem. Click here to go for more information about contacting Hewlett-Packard.
