You are a life-saver!!

 

I didn't want to take the whole thing apart so I popped the clips off the back so the top opens at 90 degrees and I used a pocket knife to cut away about 4 inches of the black plastic covering the rear part of the print carriage.  I then reattached the TWO white zif cables and whiz-bang!  Everything is working perfectly!
