I get the following error code on my hp 2645 Deskjet : 0XC8190014

What does it mean and how do I resolve it?  Any suggestions?

Hi JFJoubert,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! Smiley Happy I understand you are getting an error code on your HP Deskjet 2645. I would like you to start here: 'Ink System Failure' or a '0x...' or a 'C2...' Error Message Displays on the Front Panel, please follow the steps listed in order and let me know the outcome.

I will watch for your reply.

Thanks,

Thank you!

Shortly after my first post I found the page you suggested here.  I unplugged the usb cable, removed the ink cartridges and to my surprise the OXC error code disappeared and asked me to replace the ink.  I then turned power off and on again, replaced cartridges, inserted usb cable again and I was good to go.

The error freaked me out at first, since I got a similar message on my previous printer - which I couldn't do anything about and had to buy a new one - and this error popped up less than a week after I bought the new one! :Surprise:

Thanx for the reply!

Regards.
