I began getting the screen message of printhead not intended for printer or printhead is damaged, and it will not print.

I removed the cartridges and the printhead and found a build up of black ink on the bottom of the printhead.

How do I fix this and resume printing?

What type of printer do you have? What is the sku number on the black printhead? There is a technique for cleaning all that off the printhead, but I need to make sure I have the corrrect procedure for you.
