I have an issue when trying to scan to email, I receive the following error:

Username and password is incorrect.  Make sure username and password are valid

I have not made any changes, so unsure why this has happened.

Can  you please provide assistance in fixing the issue.

Regards,

I have google email on my mac, and use the same password for printer.

How do I verify and/or change username/password on the 8610?

Chris

Hi,
Gmail has changed several security options which may block the printer from connecting to their servers.

First open the following link and ensure you are logged on to the same account as you are setting for the printer.
https://myaccount.google.com/

Within the Sign-in & security section click on Signing in to Google and ensure that "2-Step Verification" is set as "Off".

Within the left pane click on Connected apps & sites and ensure that "Access for less secure apps" is set as "ON", otherwise the verification will fail.

Once you are done restart the printer and check for any difference.

Shlomi

The turn off was turned "off" I then Turned "ON" the one that for Access for less secure apps

and turned off the printer and turned back on and I am still getting the same error.

I REALLY need to scan and send documents today, is there a way for someone to call me?

vs. going back and forth on the forum?
