Please help me. My HP PSC1510 all-in-one has stopped working and giving me the error message: The print cartridge cradle cannot move. Please turn device power off. Check device for a paper jam or other obstruction.
I think this began after installing a brand new HP cartridge (can't remember if it was the 92 or the 93).
I see no obstructions or paper jams. I have followed the instructions in the Help Menu, but nothing has fixed it. I can manually move the cradle to the far left, and when I return power to the device it moves the cartridges back to the far right. The far right is the resting position and where cartridges can be changed. Even the scanning has stopped working, but the bar that slides under the glass still appears to move just fine, too.
What can I do?
Many thanks!
Colleen

Sorry that you are having a problem with the carriage jam. This is a hardware issue. It may be a sensor that is gone bad, or a paper on the opposite side of the carriage that is hard to see.
Here is a link that may help with this.

Let me know what happens, and if this helps.

I have a hp 6000 printer with an error message " the cartridge cradle can not move". There is no paper jam or other visible obstructions. I turned the printer off and restarted. The cartridge cradle ends up in the left position very fast and gets stuck there. Lifting the cover does not move the cradle to the center position. Printer is 2 years old and this is the first such occurence.
I would appreciate a reply from anyone for a possible fix.
