Digital Sender Flow 8500 fn1
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I have an 8500 FN1 im trying to perform a factory reset on. The problem is the factory reset is NOT clearing the system of the information which is a requirement for its current placement. It is leaving in system name, Ip addresses, ect. if there a way to TRULY factory reset these systems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe your best bet is to do a Partial Clean which will wipe out all current Data and Settings.

Back up any Data you need to save before doing the partial clean.

The Partial Clean will wipr the Active Partition on the Hard Drive and it will be reloaded from the Backup Partition on the next Power Cycle.

There is also a Full Clean Option, but that will wipe the Backup Partition and you will need to reload the Firmware from a USB Drive after doing a Full Clean.

I recommend having the Firmware available on USB Drive before you do the Partial Clean "Just in case".

Characteristics of a Partial Clean:

Customer-defined settings, third-party solutions, firmware files, and the operating system are
deleted.

Rebooting the product restores the firmware files from the Repository location, but does not restore
any customer-defined settings

Partial Clean:

Power off the 8500, wait 10 seconds

Turn back on

Press the Stop button when the Ready, Data, and Attention LEDs are on solid.

Press the down arrow to highlight Administrator, then press the enter key

Press the down arrow to highlight Partial Clean, then press the enter key

Press the enter again.

Press the back arrow button to highlight Continue, then press the enter key.
