We received a low ink message for Magenta and Black inks. Cyan was halfway and Yellow was almost full. We replaced the Black and Magenta and then got a message that Cyan was out. I replaced Cyan and now it says that Yellow is out. We haven't printed anything today so how can this pricey Yellow cartridge suddenly be out when it was 3/4ths of the way full?
Thanks!
We have the 6600 all in one printer

Hi @hrhlaurie,
Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that your HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One Printer is not reading the ink levels properly.
This issue could occur if the firmware is not updated.
Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.
And here's the step by step guide for you in the link to update the firmware: Firmware Update
Also, let us know the operating system installed on the computer from the links below:
1. Click Here If Windows Operating System is installed
2. Click Here If Mac Operating System is installed
Let me know how this works.
You have a good day ahead.
