We have a fax machine that will receive faxes without issue, but when we send a fax it just says 'job added'. We have ran the fax test and also confirmed that the line is working, both incoming and outgoing.

Hi,

I understand you are unable to send faxes and are getting a message that the fax job was added. I can help you today.

Please check the settings on the printer, to make sure the send to fax later isn't set.
Select the Fax Menu, Send Options, Send Fax Later.

Print out a Fax test.
Touch the setup button, (wrench) arrow to Service menu, press OK, then right arrow to fax service, OK, then run fax test.
You should have 4 passes if everything is communicating properly.

We need to check some settings on the printer for faxing.

Private receive:
On the printer touch the setup button, (wrench) right arrow to fax setup menu, OK, advanced setup, OK, private receive, OK, turn it off.

Error correction:
Go to the setup button, (wrench) right arrow to the Service menu, press OK, , error correction, OK, turn it off.

Speed:
On the printer touch the setup button, (wrench) right arrow to fax setup menu, OK, advanced setup,OK, fax speed, OK, change it to medium, OK.

Clear saved faxes:
Go to the setup button, (wrench) right arrow service, OK, clear saved faxes, OK, OK to clear.

I have provided a document to go through the steps if you are still having issues.

Cannot Send or Receive Faxes.

Sorry for all the questions, but it will help to resolve this issue quicker.
Are you able to receive faxes?
What type of connection do you have? (Analogue, DSL, Cable Modem)
Are you using the 2 wire fax cable?
Do you have distinctive ring set up on the line?
Is there any voice mail set up?
Do you have a answering machine? (Where is it connected to?)
Where is the fax cable connected to? (modem, wall jack)
Is there a phone also connected the printer?

Please provide in detail the results if you are still having issues.
