Feeds paper halfway through, stops, then flashes reload button when given print command

Hi

This has recently happen to me on a HPC4180.  Printer working fine one day and then this happens.  I've followed every suggestion thats been offered by HP, e.g cleaned all rollers etc.  Has anyone any idea how to fix this.  It appears to be as if something should be 'reset'?

I'd appreciate any suggestions, especially from someone who has resolved this issue.  Thanks

I agree that it looks like something needs to be reset. The printer loads a paper perfectly but halfway and then stops.

I have the same problem.  Feeds part way through with no printing.  Remove the paper and it feeds part way again.  Reboots and clearing from the back do not help.

My HP Photosmart 2610 has just started doing the SAME THING & YES I have followed all articles and steps as if it were a paper jam (which it is not) - how come nothing has been done to address what is obviously a common issue?? The couple of lines that print before it messes up always print beautifully, & it seems to be working fine then BAM - halfway through, it does it again. 

I also am wasting a LOT of paper and ink trying to follow the steps to troubleshoot & solve this issue....

My Photosmart C4795 now does the same thing. Received a message "error when printing" when it happened and now I get the 1/2 page paper feed and message saying printing, but nothing happens. Cancelling a job seems to take forever. I've gone through all the same things recommended to you folks throughout this whole issue posting and nothing works.  I  get nothing printed on the sheet except for 1 instance where I got a very faint print, but nothing since.  It seems there are 2 issues going on here; 1). printer thinks it has to do a 1/2 paper feed before printing or it thinks it is printing then stops because the data feed stops and the printer is waiting for more data. 2). The 2nd issue may be something in the data stream being sent or not sent to the printer. My printer feeds the 1/2 page, stops, but the message says "Printing" almost like it is still waiting for the data. I am a wireless connect BTW.  I've cleared the print queues so nothing is waiting.  I've been using this printer on Win 10 for some time before this happened. I did not see any Win updates applied recently that would cause this and had printed a few documents already when this happened.
