I am trying to connect my Samsung Android Smartphone using WIFI to connect to my HP PHOTOSMART 7520 PRINTER and my phone is getting a message to log in using a password. I do not remember the password for the printer. On my phone's WIFI scan the name listed for my printer is HP-Print-36-Photosmart 7520. When I click on that name it goes to another screen for me to click on connect. The same printer name listed on previous screen but under the name it says Security and under that word it says WPA2 PSK. When I type in what I thought the password is the password I typed in is removed and in its place is (unchanged). Please help if you can I need to know how to get my password back.

Hi @davidnbeckys,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums for a solution to your password issue.

I understand that when you are connecting your Samsung device you the network it finds called HP-Print-36-Photosmart 7520 and then try to connect it asks for a password. I would like to help.

It sounds like you are trying to connect to the printer using the Wireless Direct signal. If it is the Wireless Direct you are trying to connect to, you can get the password using the printer's control panel.

1. Touch the Wireless  icon on the printer's control panel.

2. Touch Settings on the bottom-left.

3. Touch Wireless Direct.

4. Touch Display Password.

Here is a support document intended for use when printing with HP Wireless Direct - Printing with HP Wireless Direct.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.
