HP Color Laser Jet CP4525
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

I have turned the power off and on over a period of days, however I still get a Fuser Error 50.2 message.  I followed the prompts, but the printer will not work.  What do I need to do to fix this printer?

There's about a 95% chance that the actual Fuser has failed and all that model it's very easy to replace.

Unfortunately the only practical way to tell if it's a defective user is to replace it.

I would do an online search for cp4525 fuser replacement or CP4025 because it's the same engine and a cp4025 was a more common model.

If in the US contact metrofuser.com or partsnow.com as both of these firms offer advance exchange of the fuser, where they send you a refurbished item and you send the defective one back.  The cost is less since they remanufacture the one you send back.

Hello @LaRaeT

First, check the label on the back of the printer. Next to the serial number, locate the line voltage for the machine (110 volts or 220 volts).  Make sure that it says 110V or something like 100-127 V

The first step here its to replace the fuser assembly but there a few scenarios that after replacing the fuser the printer may still have the same issue.

The next part to replace after that will be the low voltage power supply and we had just a few more scenarios that even after changing the fuser and the low voltage still had the same issue and we ended up replacing teh DC controller

Just wanted to share that with you so you have all the information for the error
